nicei played this on full eith 16x AA on my 8800gt, but for sm strange reason when i had the full aa it wouldnt let me go to high reses, it jus reset to the lowest every time, only let me hace up to 1280x720 i believe

V-Sync was supposted to be @ 30 fps, because it makes the horizontal line can catch up with the vertical line. It's used for CRT monitors. I'm not sure about the info that I just wrote, but it would be something similiar to this.

2900 pro's are the same thing. Problem is ATI's marketing SUCKs and its a limited edition card...I got 2 2900pro's and flashed them to xt's for $300 ($150 each)...real bargain NewEgg had a sale...

I know what you mean, the demo was the same way, my monitor is set to 75Hz, and when I was staring at a wall, it would never budge over 60 except for a random twitch to 61 once in a while.. :-(

Actually, Doom 3 maxes out at 60fps, it wont render more frames than that (its to stop people burning out their PC's - no joke.)

Well that was completely stupid. 1. All LCDs go to 60hz when at the native res. And 2. The game has an inbuilt cap fr 60FPS, nothing to do with the mmonitor at all.

The only reason you game is only at 60 frames its because your monitor sucks. And it can only came up with a refresh rate of 60Hz, so it not about the card its about the monitor if it can make 75Hz in a lower rez you will see that the game will bump in the 75 fps

Yeah your right ish. The new G92 (Dm8 i think) cards are meant to be a replacement for the pretty dismal mid range cards of the 8000 series. There was a pretty big drop off in perfomance after the GTS, and many people werent happy unsurprisingly. They were planning on releasing a 8950 card, but with no competition from anyone they revised their ideas, and are releasing this dual PCB (Nov 12) before the 9 series releases sometime at the beggining of next year

thats a lame card? it honestly is my 8800gts dose just that and more lol it's not like you need all of that fucken power anyways, my 8800 gts can bench all directX 9 games on all of the highest settings with the highest FPS rates ( frames Per Second) with the game lost planet i can have it at the highest settings and a high FPS rate about 155 fps, or more, so if u guys are smart about buying cards stick to what you have.

for the light use the patch duck tape that will sort the torch bit out

Haha my laptop could run this game at 50fps max. And i have a normal Hp Pavilion running vista with 1 gb ram.
